This is my interpretation of the sketch. This was a lot of fun. There are so many sketches out there to try, but I had never done it. Can't wait to see yours!

Sketch Challenge

Kelli challenged us to use this sketch for our April card contest.

3 X 3 Cards

I love making 3 X 3 cards. They are perfect to drop in gift bags instead of a larger card. So fast & easy. The tulip card is made from the wing of the Extra Large Two-Step Bird punch. Totally cased from someone on Stampin' Connection. Those ladies can make ANYTHING with a punch!

Fluffy Flower

This is a 3 X 3 card we all made for Valentine's Day. The fluffy flower is made of 8 layers of tissue paper punched out with the Scallop Circle punch. Then scrunched. Herb thinks this looks like a real flower, maybe moss rose. I really like this flower and make these to embelish gift wrapping and gift bags.

Another Flower Sample using book pages

This flower is several layers of Scalloped Circles punched from book pages, then scrunched. The die was borrowed from Janie; Bag w/Scallops. The leaves are wings from the Extra Large Two-Step Bird punch.

Inspired by a card in Paper Crafts Magazine

This card is from a sketch I saw in Paper Crafts magazine. The flower is 5 pages from an old book punched with the Scallop Circle punch, then scrunched up. I wanted the edges red, but sponging wasn't vivid enough. So I just dragged the punched out pieces accross my Real Red pad until I had enough saturation of the red.

Bird Punch card

This card was from February and is a Valentine's Day card. We used the Extra Large Two Step Bird punch and the stamp set, Vintage Vogue. The dsp is Bella Bleu. Love that bird punch!

Popping Pastels

At Nancy's house we made this card using the Popping Pastels technique. We had done this with white cardstock a long time ago, but wanted to try it on black. We used white craft ink and the Stampin' Pastels to add the color. I love this set: Inspired by Nature.
Janie has the Fancy Favor die, so when she was hostess for March, we used her die to create the Bella Bleu box. We added the fluffy flower to the front for decoration. While I had her die, I cut one box out of grey felt and adorned that box with a suede flower cut from the Blossom Party die with a blue Rhinestone brad in the center. The suede pieces were from an old suede skirt I picked up at a thrift store. Hmmmmm.... should have made a suede Fancy Favor box....

Easel Cards

For March, we've made easel cards in our groups. They are a standard card, cut 4 1/4" by 11", scored at 5 1/2" and 8 1/4" to make the easel fold. This is a fun card fold that would be appropriate for any design.
