Here you will find the cards we've been making in our groups and lots more of my inky ideas!
If you would like to schedule a workshop or join one of my monthly groups and you live in the Ponca City or Kay County area, drop me an email or give me a call.
MY STORY ................
The first time I tried stamping, was when we were first married and Better Homes and Gardens had an article about carving your own stamps out of an eraser and using your new stamp to decorate wrapping paper and cards. They had templates to use and I carved a teddy bear, a deer and a Christmas tree. That was years ago, and you could get a black stamp pad or a red one from an office supply store. I still have my "stamps" -- somewhere.
Years later I was able to attend and then be hostess for a Stampin' Up! demonstration. I was hooked. Having a full time job, though, I never considered becoming a demonstrator. Then after everyone of my friends had a party, we kind of drifted away from stamping. Then, another lady became a demo and she signed up a friend. Deb started a Stampers 10 group and we were back on track. Again, the group dwindled off and Deb moved to Kansas.
My sisters friend later had a party because her niece was a demo and I was able to attend her workshop. "Okay", I said to myself, "I miss this soooooooo much. Sign me up!"
And that's my story, and I'm stickin' to it!
This is my interpretation of the sketch. This was a lot of fun. There are so many sketches out there to try, but I had never done it. Can't wait to see yours!
I love making 3 X 3 cards. They are perfect to drop in gift bags instead of a larger card. So fast & easy. The tulip card is made from the wing of the Extra Large Two-Step Bird punch. Totally cased from someone on Stampin' Connection. Those ladies can make ANYTHING with a punch!
This is a 3 X 3 card we all made for Valentine's Day. The fluffy flower is made of 8 layers of tissue paper punched out with the Scallop Circle punch. Then scrunched. Herb thinks this looks like a real flower, maybe moss rose. I really like this flower and make these to embelish gift wrapping and gift bags.
This flower is several layers of Scalloped Circles punched from book pages, then scrunched. The die was borrowed from Janie; Bag w/Scallops. The leaves are wings from the Extra Large Two-Step Bird punch.
This card is from a sketch I saw in Paper Crafts magazine. The flower is 5 pages from an old book punched with the Scallop Circle punch, then scrunched up. I wanted the edges red, but sponging wasn't vivid enough. So I just dragged the punched out pieces accross my Real Red pad until I had enough saturation of the red.
This card was from February and is a Valentine's Day card. We used the Extra Large Two Step Bird punch and the stamp set, Vintage Vogue. The dsp is Bella Bleu. Love that bird punch!
